The ADR was signed in Geneva on 30 September 1957

For fifty years the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Transport Division has worked with Member States on developing, amending, implementing, updating, expanding and improving this important international agreement.

To celebrate this milestone, the Transport Division is organizing a Roundtable in conjunction with the 83rd session of the UNECE Working Party on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (WP.15), at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on 8 November 2007.

The Roundtable will convene ADR veterans with some of its newer faces, and through presentations and discussions there will be an opportunity to reflect on the role of the ADR – both past and present.
